Collection : The drug is collected in summer and autumn, when the fruit is ripe, remove from sarcocarp and dried in the sun.
Description : Subovoid, slightly flattened, 7 - 10mm long, 6 - 8mm wide, 3 - 5 mm thick. Externally pale yellowish brown or dark brown, reticulated furrows distinct sometimes with remains of brown sarcocarp, apex acute, slightly asymmetric on both sides. Texture hard, seed flattened, ovoid, testa thin, pale brown or reddish brown, easily stripped, 2 cotyledons, milky white, odourless and taste slightly bitter.
