Collection : The fruit spike is collected in autumn when the fruit is ripe, dried in the sun. The fruit is gathered and remove from foreign matter.
Description : Oblate, 2 - 3.5mm in diameter, 1 - 1.5mm thick. Externally brownish black or reddish brown, lustrous, somewhat dented on both surface and slightly longitudinally raised in the middle with a protrudent remains of style at the apex and a pale brown, slightly protrudent fruit stalk scar at the base. Some with remains of membranous perianth, texture hard, odor slight and taste weak.Total ash: not more than 5.0%
