Collection  : The drug is collected in autumn, wash clean, broken off, boiled until no white core observe and dried in the sun.

Description  : Irregular masses varying in size, externally reddish brown or dark brown, bumpy. Texture hard, uneasily broken, fracture horny, bright and smooth, odour slight, taste slightly bitter.

Action  : To dissolve lumps, cause subsidence of swelling, and counteract toxicity.

Indication  : mastitis, chronic lymphadenitis, tuberculosis of cervical lymph nodes, hypertrophic rhinitis

Precautions  :

Storage  : Preserve in a ventilated and dry place.
