Collection : The fruit is wash clean and the exocarp is collected and dried in the sun.
Description : Irregular pieces, frequently involute, varying in size. The outer surface greyish green or yellowish white, glaucous, sometimes smooth, the inner surface relatively rough, sometimes the veins of the vascular bundles visible. Texture light and fragile. Odourless, tase weak.Water: Carry out the method for determination of water (Appendix lX H, method 1). It contains not more than 12.0%. Total Ash: Not more than 12.o%

Processing : Eliminate foreign matter, wash clean, cut into pieces or wide slivers, dry in the sun.
Action : To cause diuresis.
Indication : edema with oliguria; thirst and oliguria due to summer-heat
Precautions :
Dosage : 9 to 30 g.
Storage : Preserve in a dry place.
